Outside of the main touristic routes, Piazetta Pescheria is one of the most favored places in Verona.During the ancient times, this "Piazetta" or little square was used as a "Pescheria" or fish market. Hence, we have the name Piazetta Pescheria. Today it is one of the most intimate squares in the city as it sits along River Adige.

In September 2009, the “Pescheria i Masenini” opened its doors, offering a traditional menu based on fish. Staffed by local men, they have set their goal of bringing exquisite fish dishes to the tables of Verona, while maintaining tradition and simplicity. The ambience is welcoming in a blend of classic and modern styles with the wooden boiserie, warm colours, and an open kitchen to view.
This is another endeavor for the two-star chef Elia Rizzo. With the success of the twin restaurant Trattoria i Masenini, he is convinced of the success of Pecheria i Masenini with the aid of his two young partners, Augusto Ferrarese (General Manager) and Michele Montolli (Chef).
