In the heart of Verona, just minutes from the famous Arena, a "trattoria" was created in August 2006. After only a few months the trattoria became a point of reference in the city: great food, amazing wine and perfect ambience. Elia Rizzo was raised and educated in a historical “osteria” of Verona, run by his parents. He created Trattoria I Masenini and was quickly reminded of the memories from the past, seeing Verona and Italian cuisine revived and embraced by so many. Stefano and the staff have created a comfortable, relaxing and also entertaining atmosphere as you can see all the bustlings of the kitchen as only a large glass door separates the kitchen from the dining room. 

What does “I Masenini” mean? In 1836, in our very location, a group of "carbonari" from Verona met, plotted and acted in order to defend the Italian pride. We humbly steal the name of these heroes to reaffirm the pride that moves us in offering a truly Italian style cooking.
